ROYALTIES DRIVE CREATION
Since authors and composers cannot benefit from the same advantages as temporary entertainment workers ("Intermittents du Spectacle") in France, royalties are creators' only source of remuneration. In 2022, 394,000 authors, composers and publishers benefited from royalty distribution by SACEM. For every €1 collected, 85.2 eurocents are distributed to authors, composers and publishers

SACEM represents a repertoire of 96 million works.
Music, humour, sketches, poems, music for videos, texts of dubbing and subtitles, etc. The SACEM repertoire is the largest in the world:
- More than 6,575 new works registered per day
- 2nd largest repertoire for export after the Anglo-American repertoire
