First agreement in France with the subscription VOD service
Sacem signed an agreement with American subscription video-on-demand platform Netflix in July.
Sacem Members - composers, producers, editors and the authors of music, sketches, dubbing or sub-titles - whose works are among the audiovisuals broadcast by Netflix are now guaranteed to receive fair remuneration.
The agreement was signed even before the platform was launched in France, confirming Sacem's ability to anticipate the arrival on the market of new digital players, as well as its effectiveness in a world where the legal offering of on-line cultural content is constantly expanding.
